EverElder uses a deliberately small set of cookies — enough to keep you signed in, remember your settings, and (only with your consent) understand how the product is used. This page lists every one of them, what it does, and how to manage them. It complements our Privacy policy.
2.The three categories we use
Everything we store in your browser falls into one of three categories:
- Strictly necessary — required for the service to work at all: keeping your session signed in, protecting forms, and remembering your cookie choices. These cannot be switched off, because the service does not function without them.
- Preferences — remember interface settings you have chosen, such as text size, contrast, and reduced motion, so the product looks the way you set it on every visit.
- Analytics — privacy-conscious product analytics that help us understand which features help families most. Where the law requires consent, these are set only after you agree, and declining never limits the product.
5.Your choices in the product
Where consent is required, a banner asks before any analytics cookie is set, and you can change your answer at any time from the cookie settings link in the footer or in Settings. Declining analytics leaves everything else working exactly the same — there is no reduced experience for saying no.
6.Managing cookies in your browser
Every major browser lets you view, delete, and block cookies — for one site or for all sites:
- Chrome — Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies and Site settings.
- Safari — Settings → Privacy (macOS), or Settings → Apps → Safari → Advanced (iOS).
- Firefox— Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data.
- Edge — Settings → Cookies and site permissions.
Keep in mind that blocking or deleting strictly necessary cookies signs you out and can prevent the service from working; blocking preference storage means your interface settings reset each visit.
7.Changes to this policy
If we add a cookie, change a duration, or adjust a category, we will update this page and the date at the top. Changes that require new consent — such as a new analytics tool — will be asked for through the consent banner, never assumed.
